The new batch of classic Famicom games added to Street Fighter 6 were a surprise earlier today, but an intended one. However, a new Juri outfit emblazoned with the name of k-pop group AESPA seems like more of a mistake.

Players accidentally found the costume while playing against V-Rivals in the Battle Hub. This is the mode that effectively allows you to practice against the AI data of other players from around the world.

In a statement, Capcom said that it had “temporarily” due to the fact an “unexpected costume” could be applied to the character. From the leaked screenshots we’ve seen, she’s got a gold flash through her hair and is actually wearing shoes, which is unusual for her.

But the inclusion of AESPA’s band name across her chest clearly speaks to a wider collaboration that’s yet to be announced.

It’ll be interesting to see the extent of this collaboration, and whether it marks the start of Capcom’s revised policy for outfit releases, which it teased earlier in the year. It did say it was going to completely revamp the rollout of costumes and Fighter Passes, so let’s wait and see what it’s got in store.

In the meantime, Karina is this author’s number one AESPA bias and is the only correct answer. See you in the comments, Winter stans.
