Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Doubles Its Sales, Now Sold 1 Million Units

Update []:

Sandfall Interactive has now confirmed sales of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have effectively doubled, with the RPG now having sold more than one million copies. This doesn’t include users playing the game through Game Pass either; it’s pure sales.

Original Story: Concerns that the sudden launch of Oblivion Remastered might hurt the sales of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 may not be warranted after all.

On its social accounts, developer Sandfall Interactive has announced the new RPG has reached a sales milestone of 500,000 after just 24 hours.

“A milestone for us, reached sooner than we’d ever imagined. Thank you all,” reads the accompanying messsage.

After earning universal critical acclaim, Expedition 33 also appears to be performing well sales-wise.

Produced by a team of around 30 people, the new IP is an attempt at a modern, high budget, turn-based RPG, inspired by the likes of Final Fantasy and Persona.

We awarded the game a 9/10, calling it an “absolute must-play” and heaping praise on its story and combat. You can source lots of help, including Collectibles locations, from our Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 guide.
