#Two-Week Holiday, Bonus, Switch 2 for All Lies of P Devs After Game Sells 3 Million Units

Two-Week Holiday, Bonus, Switch 2 for All Lies of P Devs After Game Sells 3 Million Units

The best Souls-like not made by FromSoftware, Lies of P has now sold over three million copies since its 2023 release.
To celebrate, all members of the Round8 Studio development team will be rewarded with a two-week holiday, a bonus of 10 million KRW (~£5,400 / $7,300), and a Nintendo Switch 2.
Prequel DLC Lies of P: Overture recently made a splash following its shadow drop announcement at Summer Game Fest, which saw PS5, PS4 players return to the game. The sales announcement doesn’t include any Xbox Game Pass players — this is entirely based on purchases.
Round8 Studio also shared the sales update on Twitter, where it thanked its players “from the bottom of our hearts”.
The move to celebrate its employees in this fashion follows in the footsteps of Stellar Blade developer Shift Up, which has gifted its workers in the past with new games consoles and bonuses.
In our original Lies of P PS5 review, we awarded an 8/10 rating and said: “Lies of P feels like the result of a developer having already taken multiple stabs at the Souls-like genre, so it’s impressive that Round8 Studio has accomplished so much on its first attempt. By fully embracing its dark take on the Pinocchio story, it sets itself apart from anything else available.”
