GTA 6 Publisher Reiterates a Fall 2025 Release Window

Take-Two, the publisher of GTA 6 and owner of Rockstar Games, has reiterated the firm’s intentions to release the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in the Fall 2025 calender window.
The update comes from the company’s latest financial earnings call, where it is said: “Looking ahead, this calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two, as we plan to launch Sid Meier’s Civilization VII on February 11th, Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4.”
Separately, speaking to Variety, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick added: “We’ve announced a pretty narrow window. So I think our view is that right now, that’s fine. And then when it’s appropriate, of course, Rockstar is going to have more to say.” Another quote from the same article claims we’ll get a Borderlands 4 release date “soon”.
Zelnick also discussed the matter with IGN, where he explained “there’s always a risk” of a delay, but the company feels “really good” about its current release window, suggesting there’s a good chance Rockstar Games won’t be forced into a delay.
