Hitman Dev’s James Bond Game Officially Named 007 First Light, Full Reveal on Friday
Update []: IO Interactive has announced that 007 First Light will be unveiled during the inaugural IOI Showcase, taking place on 6th June 2025.
The presentation, which you’ll be able to watch on YouTube, will feature the James Bond title as well as updates on Hitman, MindsEye (which IO Interactive is publishing), “and more”.
So, while we won’t see 007 First Light during the Summer Game Fest showcase as we first thought, it will be making its debut appearance on the same day, at the following times:
- North America: 6pm (Fri) PDT / 7pm (Fri) MDT / 8pm (Fri) CDT / 9pm (Fri) EDT
- UK/Ire: 2am BST
- Europe: 3am CEST / 4am EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 10am JST / 9am AWST / 11am AEST
Original Story: Hitman studio IO Interactive announced Project 007 years ago, with only a brief teaser to go on and some scant details, but we’ll soon be learning much more.
The game is officially named 007 First Light, and the full reveal is coming this week:
We can only presume “this week” translates to the Summer Game Fest showcase, which is scheduled for this Friday, 6th June.
All we currently know about the game is that it’s an original story and new depiction of James Bond. It seems to also be an origin tale, with the game’s socials bearing the tagline “Earn the number”.
As huge fans of Hitman here at Push Square Towers, we’re super excited to see what IO has cooked up for this. It’s been a very long time since James Bond has gotten a decent game, and this pairing of IP and developer is pretty much perfect.
