Oh boy. We’re going to be real with you for a minute: we can’t see these polls being particularly positive. In fact, going by the reactions we’ve seen online — and in our own comments sections — this might just be one of the worst PS Plus Extra and Premium updates yet.

But let’s at least recap what’s on offer. Extra subscribers are getting eight new titles, a selection that’s spearheaded by FBC: Firebreak — Remedy’s live service co-op shooter. It looks interesting enough to attract some attention — and obviously, launching straight onto PS Plus will help — but you know how multiplayer additions tend to go down with the PlayStation faithful.

The divisive Battlefield 2042 is next on the list — a ploy to try and drum up some extra hype for the new Battlefield, we imagine — followed by Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 and Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, a JRPG revival that didn’t quite hit the heights that were once promised.

Meanwhile, Premium gets just one game — but at least it’s a classic. The PS2 version of Deus Ex is up for grabs, which is cool, but at this point, Sony’s most expensive PS Plus tier is really struggling to justify its existence beyond its streaming functionality.
