March 2025 has turned out to be a pretty big month for PS Plus Essential. Three games were confirmed for the third-tier subscription earlier this week, and as always we want to know if you’re happy with what’s on offer.

So, the big story here is undoubtedly the inclusion of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which only released back in October of last year. The action RPG proved to be incredibly divisive; it got great reviews, and plenty of existing Dragon Age fans seemed to enjoy it, but it was also bombarded with all kinds of criticism with regards to its characters and writing.

Still, while it’s far from being BioWare’s best game, we quite enjoyed it for what is — and we’d probably recommend checking it out if you’re on the fence.

Next up is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection — a solid retro collection that bundles some genuinely great TMNT titles.

And lastly, we’ve got Sonic Colors: Ultimate. This 2021 remaster isn’t the Blue Blur’s finest outing, but it’s still a decent game if you’re looking for fast-paced platformer that involves SEGA’s typically spunky mascot.
