Oblivion Remastered Sales Explode in the US, Becomes Third Best-Selling Game of 2025

Despite launching straight onto Game Pass, Oblivion Remastered has racked up some very impressive sounding sales in the US.
In just its first week on the market, the open world RPG became the region’s third best-selling release of 2025 so far, with only Monster Hunter Wilds and Assassin’s Creed Shadows ahead of it in terms of dollar sales.
Naturally, Oblivion was the best-selling game of the week ending 26th April — as per Circana analyst Mat Piscatella.
And yet again, it’s worth reiterating that Oblivion Remastered was shadow dropped on the 22nd April. It didn’t have an official marketing campaign until the day of its release, although the leaks and rumours arguably did more to sell the game than a traditional blitz would have.
Before this data was made public, Bethesda announced that the remaster had topped 4 million players in its first few days, so it’s clearly been a hit.
We also wouldn’t be surprised if it continued to sell quite well over the coming months, especially since big updates are in the works at developer Virtuos.
