Rumour: New Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Patch Will Release Alongside Switch 2 Version

Another update for Cyberpunk 2077 may be incoming, based on pretty interesting findings via the open world RPG’s imminent Switch 2 release.
This rumour comes straight from the cyberpunkgame subreddit, where eagle-eyed users spotted an interesting detail in some recent gameplay footage, taken from the aforementioned Switch 2 version of the game.
Now, this is going to sound like nonsense if you’re unfamiliar with Cyberpunk 2077, but bear with us. Basically, when scrolling through b-roll video provided by CD Projekt Red, these fans noticed a kind of minimap icon that doesn’t exist in the current release.
The icon seems to indicate the presence of loot — but it only ‘pings’ as V drives past the location. What’s more, the map ‘ping’ itself is very reminiscent of the little indicator that pops up when you encounter a dynamic vehicle-based mission — the randomised ones that were added in Phantom Liberty.
There’s a suggestion, then, that this is some sort of new activity that’s present in the Switch 2 edition — and you would assume that it’ll be brought to other platforms through an update in the near future.
Indeed, talk of another Cyberpunk 2077 patch has been ongoing for months — ever since update 2.2 launched back in December of last year. You may remember that CD Projekt Red contracted third-party developer Virtuos to help make that patch a reality, with many onlookers believing that additional updates would be in the pipeline.
