We must admit, this deep dive into The Outer Worlds 2 has sold us more on the game than any previous coverage.

The sci-fi sequel got a big old information blowout straight after yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase, with members of the development team giving overviews of systems and mechanics. The video’s got a comedic edge to it, but it’s well worth watching if you’re interested in Obsidian’s new RPG.

Going into a little more detail, the footage covers the title’s overarching themes and storylines, while also dipping into companion characters, settings, and factions. There seems to be a lot going on in The Outer Worlds 2, with the developer calling it its biggest ever project.

But of course, we need to at least mention the game’s controversial price point. As was revealed after the showing, The Outer Worlds 2 is going to be one of Microsoft’s first forays into the realm of $80 / £70 releases.

Even with all of this good-looking footage going for it, that price tag is going to be one heck of a hurdle to overcome on PS5.
