The Witcher, Kingdom Come Vibes in Blood of Dawnwalker Gameplay
The Blood of Dawnwalker developer Rebel Wolves appears to have taken cues and inspiration from The Witcher 3 and the directional combat system of Kingdom Come: Deliverance as it makes its debut RPG. Demonstrated in a 20-minute gameplay debut of the game, it touches on combat, exploration, and the changes in gameplay once night falls.
You play as a vampire, so during the day, the game plays like more of a traditional RPG, where you’ll explore towns, talk to people, and engage in traditional sword combat. However, at night, the gameplay demonstrates rooftop jumping through a shadowstep feature.

With a thirst for blood, you can also feed on humans. The game allows you to choose how much blood you take, with a meter that drains as they get closer to dying.
In terms of combat, you’ll need to carefully choose which direction you attack and block in, as these mechanics dictate the winner and loser of battles, similar to the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated to release for PS5 in 2026, and it’s designed to be the first entry in a new RPG saga. Gameplay was taken from the “pre-beta” phase. Do you like the look of it? Share your first impressions in the comments below.
