The team was working with PlayStation on a \u201cbrand-new original IP\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>But Blundell eventually left and the studio was shuttered in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Now we have a better idea of what the developer was working on, courtesy of some concept art spotted by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mp1st.com\/news\/report-concept-art-emerges-for-deviation-games-cancelled-ps5-shooter\">MP1st<\/a>.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-imgur\">\n<div class=\"object object-imgur\">\n<blockquote class=\"imgur-embed-pub\" lang=\"en\" data-id=\"a\/SlceVHl\"><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/s.imgur.com\/min\/embed.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The images \u2013 which we\u2019ve traced back to former Lead Concept Artist <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/scratch.artstation.com\/resume\">Michael Lacek<\/a> \u2013 confirm a sci-fi theme, with one illustration in particular showing a beautiful cosmic scene.<\/p>\n<p>Other artwork shows various weaponry concepts, including one called a Power Glove, with tesla coils and other interesting details.<\/p>\n<div class=\"for-mobile\">\n<figure class=\"youtube with-primis\" character.<\/p>\n<p>Given many of the staff at Deviation Games were poached from Treyarch, specifically the Call of Duty Zombies mode, it\u2019s likely whatever the team was working on would have been some kind of co-op first-person shooter.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the project is long dead now and these concepts will never see the light of day.<\/p>\n<p>But curiously, Blundell has since re-joined Sony as part of Dark Outlaw Games, a new first-party developer which was officially acknowledged by the platform holder earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully that studio has more luck than Deviation Games,
