The live-action show will begin production in January 2026, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge creating and writing it as well as sharing the executive producer role with Chad Hodge. Jonathan van Tulleken of <em>Top Boy<\/em> and <em>Shogun<\/em> fame will serve as director.<\/p>\n<p>On the announcement, Sophie Turner said she&#8217;s thrilled to be given the chance to play such an iconic character. &#8220;They\u2019re massive shoes to fill, following in the steps of Angelina and Alicia with their powerhouse performances, but with Phoebe at the helm, we (and Lara) are all in very safe hands. I didn\u2019t mind the Ramsey and Pascal as Ellie and Joel after I got used to them, but I could never see Tom Holland as Nathan Drake or Cavill as Geralt.
