rare update<\/a> on the progress of Final Fantasy 7 Remake\u2019s third instalment and the long-in-development Kingdom Hearts 4.<\/p>\n<p>Development is progressing well, apparently!<\/p>\n<p>Speaking as part of mobile game <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UeOWfNAuVUk&amp;t=6796\"><strong>Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis\u2019<\/strong><\/a> second anniversary livestream earlier today, the creative director pre-empted comments about the upcoming projects by facing them head on.<\/p>\n<p>He said, as translated by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gematsu.com\/2025\/09\/final-fantasy-vii-remake-part-three-and-kingdom-hearts-iv-development-progressing-smoothly-tetsuya-nomura-confirms\">Gematsu<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cRight, so, looking at the comments, I\u2019m seeing people ask every so often about the third entry in the [Final Fantasy 7] Remake series. Apparently, [co-director Motomu] Toriyama mentioned in an interview that something might be released around the second anniversary [of Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis]. So that\u2019s probably where those expectations are coming from. Right, so things are progressing really smoothly.
