class=\"text\">\n<p>Sony&#8217;s lead-up to the launch of Ghost of Yotei has been quite interesting; we&#8217;ve not seen a huge amount of the game, really, but it&#8217;s drip-feeding new footage as October draws closer.<\/p>\n<p>The last few clips have been high-energy combat videos showcasing various weapons at your disposal in the action adventure game, but the latest video is the opposite While the lawless region was very dangerous, it&#8217;s an incredibly picturesque place, with Mount Yotei an awesome focal point.<\/p>\n<p>The game isn&#8217;t far off now, launching on 2nd October 2025; just under a month at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re excited to explore this very pretty map and go crazy with photo mode, but what about you? The art direction, atmosphere, and the overall tone of the game were incredible. I\u2019m going to play the sequel and finally dusting off my console, but I still can&#8217;t really feel that much excited about it.<\/p>\n<p>Like @KundaliniRising333 pointed out, after 5 years, the leap in terms of gameplay and tech seems pretty minor. That doesn\u2019t mean it won\u2019t be good \u2014 just that it\u2019s fair to want and expect more.. especially when sony has been so underwhelming this gen overall. Hoping the full game has more surprises in store though.<\/p>\n<p>A great recent example of what a real sequel leap can look like is Death Stranding 2. Whether you like that series or not, you can clearly see that Kojima and his team were able to improve it significantly in every way. Sure Yotei doesnt look that much different but GOT was already stunning and it takes a hell of a lot of power to raise the resolution and and lock it to 60 instead of 30.
