billion buyout have emerged.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/business\/deals\/ea-private-deal-buyout-video-game-maker-808aefec\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a> reports that a group of private investors, including Silver Lake and Saudi Arabia\u2019s Private Investment Fund, are willing to stump up for the publisher in one of the biggest acquisitions in video game history.<\/p>\n<p>The plan, according to those familiar with matter, is to significantly improve the publisher\u2019s performance while it\u2019s private, and then sell it to grow.<\/p>\n<p>Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been working to make Saudi Arabia\u2019s economy less reliant on oil, and the PIF has subsequently poured billions into the likes of Take-Two, Nintendo, and, yes, EA.<\/p>\n<p>We suspect with reports of this hitting the headlines, a deal may be close \u2013 but there\u2019s always a strong possibility the discussions could yet
