You can already <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/store.playstation.com\/en-us\/concept\/10013884\">wishlist the game on the <strong>PS Store<\/strong><\/a>, with the remake coming out in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This is a &#8220;faithful yet modernized remake&#8221; of the original&#8217;s single player campaign. There will be no multiplayer included.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign has been &#8220;rebuilt with high-definition visuals, updated cinematics, and refined controls&#8221;. In addition to the returning campaign, there&#8217;ll be three entirely new prequel missions set before the events of the main game that follow Master Chief and Sgt. And originally pitched Infinite&#8217;s multiplayer as a decade-long platform for Halo content.<\/p>\n<p>They might just give up and put all their eggs into the next Halo game. But even just a quick and easy port for just the multiplayer to PlayStation accompanying a new season of content could inject some much needed life into the game. I can see them doing it. It did a lot for online multiplayer, but I always thought it easily had the worst campaign. And something always felt off to me about the multiplayer \u2014 not bad, but not my favorite.<\/p>\n<p>Halo 3&#8217;s campaign is pretty good, but doesn&#8217;t have the level design and atmosphere of the first. I might argue the tight encounters are better designed, but the levels are no where near as memorable for me. ODST is cool for what it is \u2014 and absolutely nailed the atmosphere the rest of the series is missing \u2014 but I never thought the level design was particularly great. I tried playing Halo: Combat Evolved for the first time a few years back and was unable to finish it. In Halo 2 you get to play as an elite and visit Covenant environments more extensively. It felt even more epic. Each to their own though. Luckily all of the installments up to Halo Reach were excellent and 4,5 &amp; Infinite are also very good but never reached the heights of Bungie&#8217;s efforts. It was cool lore-wise, but The Great Journey was the only one I ever thought was well designed and had enough Combat Evolved DNA. Ridiculous final boss fight notwithstanding. The Great Journey, Delta Halo, and the space station opener I forgot the name of are really the only levels I quite liked from the game. Putting money and time into something that people will play for the novelty for a few days then ditch for something modern isn&#8217;t worthwhile.
