Bear with us for this one&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So, earlier this week, Beenox apparently updated the banner art on its official X (also known as Twitter) profile. The image featured art taken from games across the studio&#8217;s catalogue, except one specific piece of art caught the eyes of eager Crash Bandicoot fans.<\/p>\n<p>Said art is of the titular bandicoot driving a kart \u2014 but as far as people can tell, it&#8217;s an entirely new render. It&#8217;s not concept art taken from the aforementioned Nitro-Fueled, and Crash himself is seemingly sporting his Crash Bandicoot 4 design. The platformer released <em>after<\/em> Nitro-Fueled, in 2021.<\/p>\n<div class=\"for-mobile insert insert-label\">\n<div id=\"inject-primis-player\" data-src-primis=\"https:\/\/live.primis.tech\/live\/liveView.php?s=117168&amp;vp_content=plembed39b4tigwxqjz&amp;cbuster=%%CACHEBUSTER%%&amp;playerApiId=primis_player_float&amp;schain=1.0,1!ziffdavis.com,22392450815,1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Adding fuel to the fire, Beenox actually took this banner down, replacing it with a standard Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 promotion (Beenox being one of the shooter series&#8217; multiple development teams).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s possible that the art simply wasn&#8217;t supposed to be shown yet, but thankfully, it was spotted and saved for reference by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LuchoComix\/status\/1986083899814871204\">@LuchoComix<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This discovery has, unsurprisingly, whipped Crash fanatics into a frenzy. Nitro-Fueled launched what now feels like a lifetime ago, back in 2019 for PS4 \u2014 and it remains locked to the last-gen console, running at a disappointing 30 frames-per-second.<\/p>\n<p>The racing remake ended up selling a whopping 10 million copies, so it&#8217;d make sense for Activision to eventually follow up on that success.<\/p>\n<p>There is a chance, we suppose, that this new kart-based art was made specifically for Beenox&#8217;s promotional materials, but that does feel like a bit of a stretch.<\/p>\n<p>With The Game Awards coming up next month, it&#8217;ll be interesting to see if anything comes of this &#8216;leak&#8217;.
