listings in the app, including item collections, collaborative messaging, AI suggestions for queries, and more.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Though they could also cause headaches for sellers, who\u2019ll now have to contend with AI expertise on their second-hand item listings.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Facebook\u2019s community trading Marketplace has been a big winner for the app, driving a heap of engagement, and additional advertising opportunities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>As per <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/about.fb.com\/news\/2025\/11\/facebook-marketplace-gets-a-glow-up\/\" style=\"color:#0563c1\">Facebook<\/a>:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><em><span><span>\u201c<\/span><\/span><\/em><em><span><span><span><span>Every<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><em><span><span><span><span>\u00a0day,\u00a0one out of four Facebook young adult daily active users in the U.S.\u00a0and Canada come to Marketplace,\u00a0and we\u2019re making it easier for them to find what they\u2019re looking for.\u00a0Whether finding and furnishing their first apartment,\u00a0buying their first car,\u00a0or looking for a perfect first-date outfit,\u00a0our newest updates will help make their Marketplace experience even more fun,\u00a0useful,\u00a0and social.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>One out of four users is a lot of people checking out Marketplace, but then again, Facebook does like to show you in-stream prompts and panels that lure you into its Marketplace listings.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>I guess, the more valuable data point here would be how many people actually buy stuff from these listings, but because it all happens off-platform, Facebook may not even have accurate data on that front. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Either way, a lot of people are looking at Marketplace, and young people in particular, and to help capitalize on this interest, Facebook\u2019s adding some new options to help streamline the shopping experience.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>First off, Marketplace is getting a new \u201cCollections\u201d feature, which will enable users to create groups of Marketplace listings.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div process, with Facebook testing a new \u201cCollaborative buying\u201d feature, which will enable you to add another person into a Marketplace Marketplace listings, which will also help Facebook\u2019s algorithms know what you\u2019re interested in.
