The outlet also states David Reed will be joining as showrunner, replacing Michael Jonathon Smith.<\/p>\n<p>Variety claims Reed will join as showrunner and executive producer for the third season of Twisted Metal as part of a deal with Sony Pictures Television. Previously, Reed has served as a writer on <em>The Boys<\/em>, <em>Star Trek: Strange New Worlds<\/em>, and <em>The Magicians<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>While we didn&#8217;t get around to reviewing the second season, it&#8217;s done well enough to get the greenlight for a third batch of episodes. In our review of the first season, we said the &#8220;show works \u2013 depending on your penchant for cheesy, gratuitous grindhouse gore. If they hired the wrong devs then it will be another flop and wasted potential. Just check what happened with <strong>Destruction AllStars<\/strong> by Lucid Games. A car combat \/ racing game that ended as a big flop.
