He not only confirms the presentation, but also reveals one of the company&#8217;s studios showing off its work.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I can\u2019t share exactly what\u2019s there, but we\u2019ve got a lot of stuff that we\u2019re shipping next year,&#8221; Booty says. &#8220;In fact, usually Dev Direct is about highlighting what\u2019s coming up for the year ahead. This year, we\u2019ve got more stuff coming up than we can fit in one show.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"for-mobile insert insert-label\">\n<div id=\"inject-primis-player\" data-src-primis=\"https:\/\/live.primis.tech\/live\/liveView.php?s=117168&amp;vp_content=plembed39b4tigwxqjz&amp;cbuster=%%CACHEBUSTER%%&amp;playerApiId=primis_player_float&amp;schain=1.0,1!ziffdavis.com,22392450815,1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He confirms that Playground Games will be part of the program, developer of two upcoming Xbox games, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-series-x\/fable\">Fable<\/a> and Forza Horizon 6 \u2014 the latter of which is already confirmed for release on PS5.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So I will tell you that Playground Games is going to be in the Dev Direct, but we\u2019ll have more stuff next year to ship than we can fit into one Dev Direct show in January, which is a good place to be,&#8221; Booty says.<\/p>\n<p>2026 will mark the 25th anniversary of Xbox, and Booty is teeing it up as a big year for the platform.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re coming up on franchises of ours that have got these decade-level anniversaries,&#8221; he tells Variety. &#8220;It\u2019s the 40th anniversary of Bethesda, Blizzard\u2019s 35, Diablo shipped 30 years ago. We\u2019ve announced things like the Halo Campaign Evolved collection that we\u2019ve got coming, and we\u2019ve got a lot of other things that we\u2019ll talk about soon, that ship next year. So it\u2019s going to be a real banner year for the brand and a banner year for some of our biggest franchises to show up across the industry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So, Xbox is kicking off 2026 with a big presentation, and it&#8217;ll definitely be worth watching for PS5 users too.<\/p>\n<p>Will you be tuning in?
