Watch the whole show above.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the livestream was very light on any meaningful announcements or details, but it did reveal a handful of all-new mechanics found in Requiem. Those are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leon can pick up enemy weapons and use them against them<\/li>\n<li>Grace can collect blood from enemies for crafting purposes<\/li>\n<li>A classic difficulty option has Grace use ink ribbons to save the game<\/li>\n<li>Leon has a hatchet melee weapon he needs to repair by sharpening it<\/li>\n<li>Some zombies will mimic the jobs and habits they had when they were class=\"tagline\">Oh, okay<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article><\/div>\n<p>The showcase then recapped the Porsche collaboration that provides Leon&#8217;s car for the game, and then there&#8217;s another one with the Hamilton watch company, allowing you to buy a piece themed after either Leon or Grace. We then saw more from the bonus items included in the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil Requiem.<\/p>\n<p>With no proper announcements to speak of, this was a very low-key Resident Evil Showcase designed entirely to push more Requiem gameplay. The game&#8217;s out on 27th February 2026, and it looks like Capcom is sticking to its guns of not releasing a demo. Maybe Capcom has something to hide, either that or they&#8217;d just rather put all their resources into making the best Resi game possible. Hopefully, there is a high frame rate mode for the Pro to go alongside with the enhancements.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been dabbling with a little RE4 Remake on my Pro recently and it looks phenomenal with the high frame rate and ray tracing. Interesting.<\/p>\n<p>The zombie gives me RE 4 Ganados vibe where they can speak and doing jobs like they&#8217;re still alive.<\/p>\n<p>But why Grace collecting enemies blood for crafting bullet gives me The Evil Within vibe \ud83d\ude06<\/p>\n<p>And looks like there&#8217;s no more different between Leon and Grace beside Leon is more action and Grace is more stealth. I expect something similar to Chris &amp; Jill in RE 1 or Rebecca &amp; Billy in RE 0.
