direction or storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Even now that it\u2019s a series, I still create each instalment thinking that it could be the final chapter,&#8221; admits executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama, in a recent interview with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.famitsu.com\/article\/202601\/60437\">Famitsu<\/a> (as translated by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/like-a-dragon-executive-producer-says-he-treats-each-new-entry-like-it-could-be-the-last-i-still-havent-thought-about-what-happens-to-ichiban\/\">Automaton<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>And to be fair, you do get that impression from most, if not all of the games. Yokoyama says the team never sets out to create a character with popularity in mind \u2014 but popularity <em>can<\/em> shape that character&#8217;s future in later games, like it has done with the now iconic Goro Majima.<\/p>\n<p>How do you feel about RGG&#8217;s approach to each new game? It&#8217;s definitely been a different way to play. The series has been showing up for years and I never knew when to jump in.
