Zenless Zone Zero is definitely treading water ahead of its massive v2.0 seasonal overhaul, so cut it some slack while it recycles some content in v1.7, which is launching on 23rd April.

The biggest features of this new update are the two new characters: Vivian and Hugo. The former is an Ether element Anomaly agent, who uses a parasol to float around the combat stage Mary Poppins-style.

Hugo, meanwhile, is an Ice element Attack agent. As you may have already experienced from the main storyline, he wields a suitcase which can transform into a scythe, able to do devastating damage.

The pair will be accompanied by a new Mockingbird-themed S-Rank Bangboo, while you’ll also be able to unlock an awesome A-Rank Bangboo from the latest flower arranging event. Mechanically, this looks very similar to the drinks mixing minigame in an old version of Honkai: Star Rail.

In addition to all of that, you can look forward to several recycled activities, such as the Fall Guys-inspired Grand Marcel Adventure, which is making a comeback, and a photography-themed activity as well. There’ll also be the usual selection of free pulls.
