Alongside the big Nintendo Direct closer Octopath Traveler 0, Square Enix also confirmed The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. This is its own RPG despite the similarities with the Octopath Traveler series and the fact it’s from the same studio. It’s now been confirmed to be launching for PS5, and will come out in 2026.

You can catch the announcement trailer above, and if you own a Nintendo Switch 2, there’s actually a demo for the title live now on the eShop showcasing its exploration and battle mechanics.

“In a corner of a continent overrun with beast tribes, the Kingdom of Huther is humanity’s sole bastion, kept safe by a magic barrier,” a press release reveals. “After the discovery of heretofore unknown ruins, the adventurer Elliot and his fairy sidekick Faie brave the dangers outside the kingdom on a journey spanning not only the continent, but its thousand-year history.”
